Can I paint over wallpaper?

It is possible but we don't recommend it, as we wouldn't do it ourselves.

Should I use latex or oil based paint?

This is always a consideration whether it's interior or exterior. We determine what's suitable during a professional assessment of existing materials.

When is it too cold to paint?

Typically, the temperature should stay above 50 degrees continuously for 24 - 48 hours. This will allow the paint to cure and dry properly. These days however, paint manufacturers have products that will work even in temperatures as low as 35 degrees. We recommend you paint your exterior between March and November here in southeast North Carolina.

What should I do to prepare my house for paint?

All of our clients are different. Some move furniture and remove pictures. Others such as vacation homeowners and the elderly have different needs. We often take digital photos which will help us put your personal items back exactly as we found them. This is a detail that is discussed and decided in every estimate.

How can I dispose of old paint?

Remove the lids from any containers of paint you may have. Leave them in the garage or a shed, out of the weather. Over time the contents will solidfy and you can just throw them away.

Will my landscape be safe from pressurewashing?

Yes. We only use products which are safe for the environment.
